3 Weeks Old

Jack has had a very nice string of good days now. Today he weighed in at 2 lbs 9 oz (1170 g) it was a nice increase from yesterday's weight. He is still breathing on his own, but all his oxygen is coming through a Vapotherm machine that heats and adds a little moisture to his air. He had a couple bradycardia episodes today, but he recovered from them all on his own. The nurses say when he does that there is good chance that he is trying to poop.

When Mary went in for his care time this morning he had wiggled free of all his bedding and was laying all sprawled out in his isolette. He also had a couple times when he tried to pull his feeding tube out. He is continuing to develop his own personality and we love that he is slowly filling out and getting better. Sorry I didn't get any new pictures today, but promise I will take a few tomorrow.
