Jack versus New Nurses

Jack is now just 1 day shy of what would have been 31 weeks along. He still seems to be doing well. His feedings again increased to 35 ml, but other than that things are the same. Today Jack (and his Mom and Dad) got to see a group of nurses we hadn't seen before. To test them Jack decided to have a big apnea early this morning. I guess it was his way of saying "welcome" to his new nurse. After that he did well all day. He had his occasional heart rate dip, but came back on his own.

He gained about 20g yesterday. That isn't enough to move him up in terms of pounds and ounces so he will stay at 3 lbs 4 oz until tomorrow. This afternoon he was very cranky during his care time. We think he was having some gas pains and letting the World know about it. He also decided that his parents needed some practice changing diapers...4 times in a row. We would no sooner get him changed he would take a nice poo again. I think I saw him smiling about it.

Today he got a visit from Mary's Cousin Penny. She got to hang out while I did some kangaroo time. Also, I need to say that yesterday I forgot to say that he got a visit from his Aunt DeAnna and Uncle John...hopefully nobody's feelings got hurt for being left out of the blog.
